Harleen Sethi Discusses Acting Struggles and Excitement for New Show

In this interview with Mayapuri Harleen Sethi, talks about the struggles of being an actor. She shares that wherever she goes, there is an appreciation for the show. She thanks her family, audience, and fans for their support and then adds about her journey and how she is both excited and nervous about the upcoming show.

As we all know, “BAD COP” as a show is doing great with its amazing storyline with twists and turns and its amazing star cast! How do you feel about the appreciation and what would you like to share about it?
I think, first of all, I feel grateful that the audience is accepting me in this new role there is so much talk about the show anywhere we go they seem so excited about it! That really says how well the shoe is doing, so I am glad that it’s doing so well and the people are loving it.
We can see from the first episode itself that, your relationships are getting affected by your success, which should never be the case, it pinches our hearts as it questions our minds whether our society is still like that.

What is your take on that, do you also think that women are not getting the support that they require? 

aren’t obligated to be taking care of their home yet still, they are bound to be homemakers! However, they are not required to be dependent on anybody.
I think this a wrong notion that women are not required to take of our homes, they should also be financially independent as well! Both, a man and a woman should be able to take care of each other in every way, be it at home or even financially, they should run the house together, and part the responsibilities at home equally so that it’s don’t burden anyone. The story is written in such a way that it’s happening in our country and it is getting changed also and that is exactly why it can be shown in the series and the people are accepting the story dynamics of Devika and Karan and getting inspired by them. By seeing them, there is a change in their mindset as well, so in that way, the biggest success for me is this in “BAD COP”.

Even with independence, the responsibility of taking care of the home is automatically bearded by the women. She has to manage everything and take care of everything at once! What would be your advice to the women to manage everything?
I think both genders would have to strike a balance because being independent is crucial to both so there can be love and harmony in their lives and even then households. This will make sure that they both are growing together in all the spheres of their life. It’s important for the men also to not take anything to their ego if they have to do household chores and even the women don’t boast about being self-sufficient on the financial front! They both just need to put away their egos and work together for a peaceful life. 
Harleen, your journey wasn’t easy, and your background wasn’t related to the industry yet you made a mark with Broken but Beautiful, as we all know it was a hard journey for you filled with emotional breakdowns and your journey through that road, please share how did you cope with all those to our audience.

Absolutely, firstly I would like to thank god, my parents, and the audience. I think there would be barely anyone who would say that their journey was easy in any sense, it takes a few years even to get a path to navigate through it. I think I wouldn’t call it difficult as I was born and brought up here only so it wasn’t that difficult for me to support my living, however, this profession is very emotionally taxing as when you are in shoot, and to perform it truly is very tolling. The audience, the screen test always is a bit anxious and nerve-wracking, whether it's your first or 100th! This profession helps you develop overall, which isn’t at all available in any professional world. There are a lot of pros and cons in this profession like that. My journey had been like that only with a lot of ups and downs. It's been a lot of years of me being in front of you.

What would you like to tell your fans, Harleen, is there any upcoming show that you will be a part of in the upcoming months or years?
There is one show that will be coming up in the year to come, I will be seen as a doctor. I really like to do a lot of new characters and I hope the audience will also like to see me and thank you for the love.
