Janhvi did two years of cricket training for Mr. and Mrs. Mahi

Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor's film 'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi' was in the news since its trailer release. The first song of the film 'Dekha Tenu' was released on May 15, and has received a lot of love from the audience. Within a few hours, the song had crossed lakhs of views. The chemistry between the two looks tremendous in this song. The film is directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Karan Johar. Apart from Rajkumar and Janhvi, Rajesh Sharma, Kumud Mishra, Abhishek Banerjee, Zarina Wahab, and Arijit Taneja are in important roles in the film. Rajkummar Rao's Real-Life Inspiration Revealed at Trailer Launch

As can be seen by watching the trailer, Rajkummar's character inspires Jhanvi's character to make her dreams come true. On the occasion of this trailer launch, when Rajkumar was asked the question whether he has inspired or helped anyone in real life to make their dreams come true. In response to this, Rajkumar says, "I have an actor friend, I did not tell him directly but many times I used to tell him that you can become a good director, and now finally he has become a director who has made a very good film. Will be released in the upcoming future."

The character of Janhvi in the film is trying to become a cricketer. Talking about the preparations for this character, Janhvi says that she had started preparing for this character right after her film 'Mili'. It took him two years to prepare for it. Janhvi said that while preparing for this, her shoulders also got dislocated. Janhvi gave all the credit for this to her two coaches Abhishek Nair and Vikrant who taught cricket to Janhvi.

The film's director Sharan Sharma was also present on this occasion. Talking about the film on this occasion, Sharan says, “Many people have helped in making this film. It is Karan Johar's vision that gave us the energy to make Mr. and Mrs. Mahi."

The film 'Mr and Mrs Mahi' is the story of a perfect partnership. When this question was asked who would be the perfect partner of the actors in their real life and what would it be like? In response, Janhvi says, “There must be such a person who will make my dreams his own, and give me the courage to fulfill my dreams and encourage me. Make me happy, make me laugh. Support me even when I cry. I want someone like this.”

Talking about the song 'Dekha Tenu', Rajkumar Rao praised the song's composer Jaani and singer Mohammad Faiz and said that this song is his favorite too and he used to listen to this song in his childhood. Let us tell you that this song in this film is a song from Karan Johar's film 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham'. Talking further, Rajkumar says, “Music is an important part of the story of any Hindi film. The kind of music in our film takes the story forward in some way or the other. This story is fictional but it is the story of all of us, we will all be able to relate to it.

When Janhvi and Rajkumar were asked this question both of them were working together again and what was their reaction when they came to know that they were working with each other again? Answering this question, Rajkumar says, “It was quite thrilling because we have worked together before, although we did not have that many scenes together in that film because she was playing the character of a ghost. We got a chance to perform together in this film. Sharan is a very good director, the kind of environment he created for us to perform on the set was magical. Jhanvi is a very good artist and very hardworking, so I enjoyed working with her a lot.”

Answering this question, Janhvi says, “We were together in that film but we did not get much chance to work together, but in this film, we got a chance to do whatever we wanted to do. Everyone knows that I have been a big fan of Raj sir and I have wanted to work with him for a long time. Rajkumar has helped me a lot in this film and I think because of his help I have become a better actor.”

Talking about the challenges the actors faced in the film apart from playing cricket, Rajkumar says, “It also has a father-son story which a lot of boys will be able to relate to. Many people among us want to do something else in life but cannot follow their passion due to family pressure or societal pressure. There will still be many people who want to do a lot but are unable to muster the courage to follow their passion. There are many such scenes in the film which are about this very thing.”

Talking about this, Janhvi says, “There were many challenging moments but as Raj said, the kind of atmosphere Sharan had created on the set made our work even easier.”

Some time ago, in an interview, Janhvi had talked about method dressing. When she was asked about this, did she explain to Rajkumar about the method of dressing? In response to this, Janhvi says, “I offer some cricket brooches to Rajkumar but he says, “You do all this”. Whenever we promote a film, the makers and directors tell us that the film and the character will be in the same category. Wear clothes appropriately. Till now I had done this only in Dhadak but then I realized that a lot of attention is given to and there is a lot of discussion on what we wear and how we look. I think what Urfi, Zendaya, and Alia did during 'Gangubai' and 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' was very beautiful. I think it adds value to the film and brings attention to the film. I like dressing up like this. This is just like a school assignment. I think this thing is drawing some attention towards the film and this is what I want.”

The film 'Mr and Mrs Mahi' is a film on cricket. When Janhvi was asked whether she has been a fan of cricket since childhood because some time ago she was also spotted in a live cricket match. In response, Janhvi says, “I had only one connection with cricket and that was because of this, my father did not pay attention to me because when the match was coming, he used to concentrate only on the match. I used to think that this is why my father doesn't pay attention to me when he comes back from work."
