Juhi Joins Season 3 of 'Yeh Meri Family'
You were on a long break, and you are connected with your fans through social media but do you have any new project coming up?
Season 2 of 'Yeh Meri Family' came not long ago, but yes it has been almost a year. After that, the shooting of this season took place, so I was busy with it and social media also keeps me busy. I had to maintain a balance between work and personal life, so I spent some time with my daughter and then also traveled a little. And then also shooting for this new season.
You have played many characters in your career which people still appreciate and like. How do you feel?
It is a very beautiful feeling that you may have done some work years ago but even today people like and appreciate it. Some things can be made only once and there is a different kind of magic in them. For example, if we talk about films, films like 'Sholay', 'Maine Pyar Kiya', and 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge' are made only once because these are not just films, they are magic. A lot of people work hard to maintain this magic. I am grateful that I got a show that is counted among those magical shows that are timeless. It is a very beautiful feeling that I got a chance to be a part of such a show.
‘Yeh Meri Family’ Season 3 is feeling like nostalgia, so tell us something about what kind of emotions and fun is going to happen in the show.
This is a complete family show. Nowadays, many different types of content are coming, but such shows which are very simple and can be watched with the family, and which tell about the family, such shows come very rarely. You can watch this show sitting with your family and enjoy, this is such a show. This show will make you love your family and teach you to value them. It is true that the foundation of a person is his family.
What was in your mind when this script came to you and what was the reason behind doing this show?
First of all, this is a family-oriented show. Whatever work I have done to date has been such work that I can watch sitting with my family. The storyline of this show is very simple but also heart-touching. There is no extra drama or twists and turns in it and that is what makes it special. I enjoyed doing the show, and I knew it was a subject that would touch people's hearts.
You have been working since the 90s, and today you are also working for OTT, so how do you see these changes?
I look at it positively because I feel that this time of OTT is the best time for actors. Earlier there were a lot of limitations to playing a main lead, but now there is nothing like that. This is the time when an actor can prove his mettle. This is the best time for an actor who is adept in his craft because now you can experiment with your character, look, and much more. TV also has its audience which is not going anywhere, if it was so then shows like 'Anupama' would not have been such a superhit in today's time. I think there is no need for any platform to compete with any other platform. Everyone has their place and their audience.
What do you like to watch on OTT?
I don't have any such fix, this is what I like to watch. If I see someone's teaser or trailer and I like it, I watch that thing. I don't like watching action films or shows much but apart from that I like watching everything.
If you got good scripts and you had to go back to TV, would you like to go?
First of all, I don't watch it in such a way that I had to go back to TV. I have not left TV, I have just expanded the scope of my work. I do not consider television less than any other medium. Television is my home and it has given me where I stand today. I give full respect to TV. The reason I am not saying yes to television shows sooner is because of time commitment. Working in television binds me somewhere and I have a daughter to whom I want to give a good upbringing, so I do TV projects very thoughtfully. In OTT, I get the time that I want and I can experiment with my roles in OTT.
How do you balance your professional and personal life?
I can maintain this balance only because of my parents. I am a very protected and obsessed mother to my daughter. I want to know everything about him, how was his day today, is he sad, what did he do in school. I do not believe in leaving the child in the care of house help because I feel that the emotional security that a child feels with his people is not felt with anyone else. Me, my parents and my daughter, we all live together. Because she lives with them, I can work comfortably.
As a mother, what advice would you like to give to parents so that they feel connected with their children?
I think it is very important to know what is going on in the minds of children. We are adults and we express our thoughts through speaking, but children do not know how to express themselves. Their way of expressing their views is different and it is up to you to understand what problem they are facing. I think parents should be present in their children's lives regularly, talk to them about life, and talk to them about their feelings. Only by talking to them, you will know that if your child is going on the wrong path then you will be able to show him the right path. The family should spend quality time together. This is what we do at home, we spend quality time together.
You have also recently started a podcast, so how was the experience?
This experience is very good. This thought was in my mind for a long time that I have to do something so that I can inspire my viewers. I used to get messages from many people that they got a lot of inspiration from me because no matter what happened in life, I never gave up and faced it boldly. It is not that I have never seen ups and downs, but I took my time, improved myself, and then came back. I had to tell them that this strength is in all of us, we all can face any challenge in life. Are. I am thankful to my team who came up with this idea. In this podcast, we have talked to people from different professions. People liked it very much.
Who are your inspirations in your life?
I think the courage for life comes automatically. For me, my inspiration as well as my strength are my parents and my daughter. My daughter is my weakness but also my biggest strength. I am so strong today because my parents have been so strong. He supported me during the period when I was most vulnerable. Since childhood, he has made me believe that if you believe in yourself, you can do anything. He has always made me feel that he is with me whether I succeed or fail. This strength makes you mentally strong. My daughter has healed me and the faith I have today in never giving up is because of her.
How many episodes will there be in 'Yeh Meri Family' season 3?
Season 3 will also have five episodes like there were in Season 2.
Apart from the ‘Yeh Meri Family’, do you have any upcoming projects?
Yes, some projects are coming that are very special. I hope people will like that too.
What would you like to tell your fans?
First of all, I would like to thank everyone who has given so much love to Season 2, now Season 3 has also arrived. You will have a lot of fun watching it with your family. I hope that as much love as you have given to Season 2, you will love Season 3 even more. So that we can move further in this series. Apart from this, you will soon see me in a different avatar in some other show too. I hope you like all this.
