After showing the magic of acting in films like No Means No, Teri Bhabhi Hai Pagle, and Gulabi Revdi, Nazia Hussain once again showed the magic of her acting in the film 'Tipsy'. Let us tell you that the film Tipppsy is a film directed by Deepak Tijori in which he has also acted. Alankrita Sahay, Kainaat Arora, Sonia Birje, Natasha Suri, Mandeep Kaur Sandhu, and Nazia Hussain are seen in lead roles in this film. Let us tell you that the film was released in theaters on 10 May 2024.

You are from the film industry, but what difficulties did you face at the beginning of your career?

I am from a film background, this is just a matter of saying. When I started my film journey, I started with myself. I had to face a lot of difficulties to get my first break. When I auditioned for my debut film 'Yes to Love' in 2012, I was competing with a lot of people for the role in that film. I did not get any call for that for a long time and during that time I auditioned at many places. It was a coincidence that I was called back because that film could not find the right star cast. When I started working on my debut, I started from workshops. Even at that time, I was rehearsing with two other shortlisted girls. After about three months I got selected for that role. After that never looked back.

Which actors are you inspired by and what inspired you to become an actor?

My biggest inspiration is Bachchan Sahab. When I was young, my father used to tell me stories related to the film industry, his aunt had been a great actress. At that time Amitabh Bachchan had just entered the industry. I have grown up listening to the stories of the beginning of his career. There were many ups and downs in his career but he remained steadfast. It is my good fortune that I got a chance to work with him. I was already inspired by him but when I met him and saw his way of working, I became even more inspired by him. Bachchan Saheb has been my inspiration from childhood till today.

In which project have you worked with Bachchan sahib?

I have done a film which is a Sanjay Dutt production. The film has not been released yet. The production will announce it when it is released. I got a chance to work with Bachchan Saheb on that project.

There are reports that Salman Khan's father Salim Khan also guided you. Is this true?

Yes absolutely. When I started getting a little serious about becoming an actor, my mother was not sure about this. My mother was against my entry into the film industry. Due to some personal crisis, I met Salim's uncle and he told my mother that your daughter was good-looking and she should go to films. Even at that time, my mother said, “No Salim Sahib, don’t say that, I have only one daughter.” Uncle explained a lot to my mother “Good and bad happen in every industry, and if a person has the talent then she will survive and if not then she can go back and do anything.” It was he who suggested I join Roshan Taneja Acting Academy. There I learned acting for a few months and after that, my life changed.

Sanjay Dutt is a powerful actor. So has he been your inspiration in any way and which of his films do you like?

He is a very good actor. Films like 'Mission Kashmir' to 'Khalnayak' and 'Munnabhai MBBS' are very good and he has always done a good job. He has always received love from the audience. I get inspiration from him that no matter how many ups and downs there have been in his career, he always remains very strong and works with great dedication. He works very hard for everything. No matter what he is going through, he keeps smiling all the time.

According to you, what is the special thing about your film ‘Tipppsy’?

This film is special for me because I am doing such a film for the first time in which there is no hero with me. This film is woman-based, and I have many co-actors in it. This film is the story of five girls. Had met Deepak Tijori many times after coming into the industry but never got a chance to work with him. Even at that time, I had hoped that someday I would work with Deepak Tijori, sir. Coincidentally, I got a chance to work with him on a film whose shooting had already started but for some reason that film could not go ahead. During the same film, I got the offer of this film. The concept he told me about this film was quite refreshing for me as an actor because I had not done any such role before. It was a lot of fun shooting this film.

Deepak Tijori is not only an actor but also a director, so what tips did he give you during this film?

Deepak Tijori is not only an actor but also a director, so what tips did he give you during this film?

Deepak Sir has been in this industry for many years and is also from a theater background. I like those directors who read the script and conduct workshops before the shoot. Deepak Sir also got it done. Since he has also been an actor, he sees the film not only as a director but also as an actor. Sir also gave us the freedom to improvise for the character as per the situation to add something new to our character. By the time the shooting started, we all were so adapted to our characters that we could complete the scene in one or two takes.

'Heeramandi' released on Netflix is being discussed everywhere. Would you like to do such a series?

I don't think at this time there would be any actor who does not want to work with Bhansali sir. Whatever films he does are very good. As an actor, we all remain ready when we get a chance to do such shows. I also want to work in web series and watch a lot of content from web shows.

Is there any actor with whom you would like to work?

I want to work with everyone. I like Aamir Khan's work very much, so I have a great desire to work with him.

Nowadays the content of OTT has become quite bold, so are you comfortable doing such scenes?

If the story demands it and the scene is right then I have no problem in doing it. I feel that as an actor, I should try new things and characters because if I become comfortable with one type of character, I might become lazy. I feel that the more different work I do, the better actor I will become.

Would you like to tell us something about your upcoming projects?

There are some projects which are going to come on OTT. Apart from this, I am planning to do many OTT projects and web shows.
