Soon to hit the theaters, Pintu Ki Pappi is a film directed by Shiv Hare and produced by Vidhi Acharya. Recently, Shilpa Patil, a journalist from Mayapuri, spoke with the  star cast and crew of the film, including Sushant Thamke, Jaanya Joshi, Vidhi Yadav, Shiv Hare, and choreographer Ganesh Acharya.

Pintu Ki Pappi Star Cast

Here’s what the Pintu Ki Pappi Star Cast had to say about their exciting journey with the film.

  • Pintu Ki Pappi is a romantic comedy, which is a genre that’s not often seen in Indian cinema these days. You all have made a wonderful debut on the big screen. How special was your first project? What would you like to say about it?

Vidhi-  We’ve worked really hard to get here. Thanks to Masterji (Ganesh Acharya), we got the opportunity to be a part of this film. We’re incredibly excited about the release, and we hope the audience enjoys the movie.

Jaanya-  We’ve been working on this project for over a year now. The film has everything – music, action, comedy, and dance. When you watch it, you’ll enjoy it a lot.

Sushant-  I’m really grateful to Masterji and Shiv Sir. We’ve learned so much from them, and I hope we continue learning from them in the future.

  • We've seen you in songs, trailers, romantic drama, comedy, and entertainment. Your shooting style is amazing. What would you say about this project?

Ganesh Acharya-  The producer of this film is my wife, Vidhi Acharya, and my mother-in-law is the choreographer. In the film, I play Pintu's uncle. It’s a fresh role for me, as I’ve never played an uncle before. I’ve treated the character like a friend. Shiv has written it really well, and it’s a great character.

  • The songs in the movie are fantastic. Can you tell us more about them?

Ganesh Acharya- The songs are excellent. We’ve invested a lot in the music. For the first song, we had 500 dancers and 500 juniors. We shot it in the US, at the Grand Canyon. But the action sequences in the film are really impressive as well.

  • How did you get involved in this film?

Ganesh Acharya- I loved the story of this film, so I told my wife that she should produce it. The dialogues and comedy are all really good, and the concept is quite unique, so I believe the audience will enjoy it.

  • How did the idea for this film come about, and the title is quite unique. What do you think about it?

Shiv -As a filmmaker and writer, you often have a pool of ideas. Initially, the film was titled Pappi, but when we met Masterji, after a lot of research, the name was changed to Pintu Ki Pappi. In the film, Pintu is played by Sushant, and Pappi is played by Jaanya. The story revolves around Pintu and Pappi meeting and the impact Pappi has on Pintu’s life. There are 10 songs in the movie, and the film has been shot on a large scale.

This is a special project, filled with drama, and it's a new concept in the industry. The cast is also fresh, and I believe the audience will love it. I also want to mention that we’re entering the new era of web series, where new faces are emerging, and talent is shining.

  • How was your experience working with Ganesh Acharya and Shiv Sir?

Jaanya-  This film is all about emotions, and we’ve covered every aspect of it. We’re lucky to have had this experience right at the start of our careers. Shiv Sir, the direction team, and Masterji have been very supportive. Masterji’s emotions and expressions are his USP, and we’ve learned so much from him.

Vidhi-  This is all three of our debut films, and none of us come from a film background, so it was a bit of a surprise that we’re making our debut with Pintu Ki Pappi. This film is very close to our hearts. It’s a comedy, so it’s something you can watch with your family.

Sushant-  Masterji is the HOD (Head of Department) for everything – dance, expressions, music, and screenplay. I initially thought Ganesh Acharya was just a dance master, but now I realize that he’s a master of everything. Working with him has been an amazing experience. I used to wonder if I could pull it off, but now, thanks to Masterji and Shiv Sir, I’m confident I can do it.

  • Your choreography trends on social media, like the signature steps from the song of Pushpa. What can you tell us about that experience? And what’s special about the steps you’ve done for Pintu Ki Pappi?

Ganesh Acharya-  The success of Pushpa 2 is largely thanks to the director of the film and Allu Arjun. They worked really hard and never gave up. Pushpa holds a special place for me because of the hard work that went into it. That’s when I got the idea for this film. The letter “P” holds a special meaning for me – it’s the first letter of my mother’s name, and there are two “P’s” in Pintu Ki Pappi. 2025 will bring a lot with the letter “P” in my life.

Our songs like ‘Beautiful Sajna’ and ‘Shivoham’ are trending now. This is my home production, and my wife is the producer. The three young actors have worked really hard, and I pray this film is a success. It’s releasing worldwide in March, including in the US, Canada, London, Australia, Fiji, Mauritius, South Africa, and in four languages in South India. We’re getting a fantastic response from everywhere, and I’m happy to see the love these young artists are getting. Bollywood should also show them some love.

  • The era we’re in now is seeing a lot of new actors emerge, even from outside the industry. What are your thoughts on this?

Ganesh Acharya - Today’s young stars are succeeding based on their hard work and talent, whether they come from the film industry or not. If the content is good and the work is done with dedication, the audience will love it. This is the beauty of today’s times, where good work is being recognized. It’s a great sign for young actors.

  • What are your expectations from this film?

Shiv - It’s a fun-filled, entertaining film, and there’s something for everyone. For those looking for this kind of content, it will be a pleasant surprise. We’re excited to see how the audience receives it and how warmly they welcome it in theaters. I hope they enjoy the film!

  • What would you like to say to your audience?

Our film Pintu Ki Pappi is releasing on March 21, 2025, in theaters. We hope you all watch it. There’s something for everyone in the film!
