Puneet Sachdeva Enters Vasudha as a Powerful Negative Character

Zee TV’s hit show Vasudha, presented by Arvind Babbal Productions, is all set to bring a major twist for its viewers. This time, a new key negative character is entering the story — one who will add another layer to the tale of hatred and revenge against the Chauhan family. The role is being played by none other than popular television actor Puneet Sachdeva. In an exclusive chat with journalist Shilpa Nalamwar from Mayapuri Magazine, Puneet candidly spoke about his character Karanveer, his motivations, and what makes this role special. Here’s what he shared...

Tell us about your new character. What kind of role is this?

My character is a super villain, but it’s important to understand him. He’s not purely negative — everything he does is for his younger sister. He can go to any extent for her, but remember, he doesn’t harm anyone without reason.

So, does that mean everything he does is for his sister’s safety?

Yes, he doesn’t care about what’s right or wrong. For him, only his sister is right. If anyone misbehaves with her or tries to hurt her, he can go to any lengths to protect her.

You mentioned your character is a super villain, but does he also have a heroic side?

Absolutely. This character is a mix of both hero and villain. I’ve mostly played negative roles so far, and this one is similar — but here, the blend of good and evil is clear. His darker side has an emotional reason — his love and concern for his sister.

What is your character’s main motive?

My character’s main goal is to get his sister married to Dev. He just wants her to be happy, and he will do anything to make that happen.

You’re returning to television after quite some time — how long has it been?

I’m coming back to TV after five years. My last show was Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki, where I also played a villain. I’m very happy to be back with a character that blends emotions with unexpected twists.

How has your experience been on set and with the team?

The team is extremely supportive and friendly. Director Vijay Sir gives me full freedom to interpret my character in my own way. I’m really happy to be a part of this show.

What message would you like to give to the audience?

I just want to say — even if the character is a super villain, it’s the audience’s love and reactions that keep us motivated. Please continue to support and embrace this story and my role just as warmly as you have in the past.
