Rashmi Gupta is learning 'more sophisticated Hindi' for her role in 'Dhruv Tara'

You mentioned that you chose this show over all the other shows that were offered to you, could you tell us about the reason why you went with this one?
Yes, I got offered another show, for which I had even done a mock shoot. That too was an interesting show, however, the storyline of my character CHANDRA in DHRUV TARA appealed to me more! We rarely get to see the harmony between two characters who are sisters in relation they are always in some fight or disagreement, like the characters I played in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 there was no harmony between the characters Gehenna and Swara. On the contrary, in this show both the characters are in harmony and agreement, they both love each other and support each other. This was a fairly new character for me to play as my audience was demanding me to play positive characters after I played the counterparts in Saathiya and Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega. Now she has decided to play a positive character as the other show was a bit on the other side of the spectrum for me.

The look you are sporting in this show is very elegant and simple. Could you please describe it to the audience?
The story is based in 1879, so basically, it’s a period track. The stylists wanted to properly give it a period look from that time. The main thing is how we speak with all the slang and swag now was taken into control by me from saying as today's way of speaking is different from how the people used to speak back then in the 1879s.

Well, what would you like to tell your fans about your new avatar and the positive look that you are coming back with the new show?
Yeah... so this time I am back with a positive character as you requested on my social media and have messaged me asking about my new ventures. I want to tell all my fans that I am back with a positive role after Balika Vadhu, and you all will love this new character Chandra, just like you like my shayaris on my Instagram! I thank you all in advance for your love and support to Dhruv Tara.
