Shagun Pandey: From TV Serials to Music Videos

An exciting Holi scene is being shot in Colors and your show 'Mera Balam Thanedaar', how do you feel?

I feel very blessed because I have got a chance to perform with very good artists and feel their energy. This is like a childhood dream coming true. Like I saw Sudha Chandra Ma'am performing recently and after seeing her, I feel as if I too have to achieve position and capability in life. I am waiting for this Colors' 'Mohe Rang De' program to come from 6:30 pm, I hope people will like it.

What will be Shagun's style this Holi, and will Shagun also perform?

Shagun is enjoying a lot but Shagun is still in the character of Veer Pratap Singh. And that's why he's on duty because there's some danger here. Along with his duty, he is also having some fun. It also has his dance and romance with Bulbul. This is the complete package, and you all will love it.

Everyone has a different style of playing Holi, how much do you enjoy Holi, and do you play Holi?

Yes, I play Holi. At our place, a water drum is always kept outside the house for people to apply colors. Many dishes are prepared at home. Gujiya is made, our neighbor Aunty brings Dahi-vada for us, some bring mathri and some bring sev. If the uncle from the neighborhood takes out harmonium and tabla, then the program of eating, drinking, and having fun continues the whole day. I come from such a culturally rich background. Here I am living this artistic version of Holi, where there are so many colors, and veteran artists are performing. This seems like a dream to me. That's why I say that one should dream because dreams come true.

What Holi wishes would you like to give to your fans and Mayapuri viewers?

Lots of love to all of you, and happy Holi. Don't harass the animals, don't color them, and don't color the people on duty like our police, postmen, and delivery people, don't joke with them or their work. Let them do their work and have a memorable Holi.
