Shehzada Dhami, who won hearts with his appearances in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Bigg Boss 18, recently sat down for an exclusive conversation with Shilpa Patil of Mayapuri Magazine. In this candid chat, he opened up about his Bigg Boss journey, his eviction, his bond with Naira, Afreen, Karan, and Vivian, and his thoughts on the wild card entry. Here's what he had to say:

 Shehzada Dhami Bigg Boss journey

  • How do you reflect on your Bigg Boss journey? Before entering, what were your thoughts, and how much did you manage to achieve in the show?

Before entering Bigg Boss, I didn't think too much about it. For me, it was a new experience—living with 18 people under one roof, with no phones or connection to the outside world. I was curious about how it would feel and how one could survive in such an environment. After all, Bigg Boss is a survival game—it's all about whether you can stick around or not. When I entered the house, that was my mindset.

Once inside, I was doing well. I’m someone who can survive on minimal food, as I follow a strict diet in my daily life, so I didn’t face much trouble in that area. I could have stayed longer, but unfortunately, I was evicted.

  • Were you disappointed with your eviction?

Yes, I was very disappointed. I didn’t expect to be evicted. I never imagined I would be sent out so soon. It felt a bit strange.

  • You had some heated arguments in the house, especially with Vivian. He believed you were bringing strategies from your past shows into Bigg Boss. What’s your take on this?

I didn’t bring anything from my previous shows into Bigg Boss. If I had done that, I would have played the 'victim card.' But I didn’t. I don’t think the audience saw me that way either. I didn’t play the victim card. What happened was that people tried to create a narrative about me. They wanted to label me as a certain kind of person. That was the attempt, but I believe that narrative failed.

  • Bigg Boss is often referred to as a show of relationships, where alliances and friendships are formed. You also made some bonds in the house. Can you tell us more about that?

Yes, I had great friendships with Afreen and Naira. Inside Bigg Boss, it’s natural to form bonds since you see the same people every day. We woke up every morning and saw each other’s faces, and that created a connection. But now, after coming out, everyone is busy with their own work. However, that bond remains.

  • There seem to be a lot of group divisions in the house, like Karan, Shilpa, Chum, Shrutika, and others forming their alliances. What do you think about these alliances?

How long will these alliances last? Eventually, everyone will have to face off against each other. That’s when true relationships and bonds will show. Right now, these alliances are still new. We’ll have to wait and see what happens when the time comes to stand against one another.

  • Who do you think is a strong contestant now that three wild card entries have been made? The competition is getting tougher.

Honestly, I don’t see any real purpose behind the wild card entries. There’s no logic to it because most of the fights and issues are happening between the original contestants. The newcomers can't understand those old dynamics. The first few months were about the original contestants tolerating each other. For the new entrants, it's difficult to catch up with that pace.

  • How has this journey been for you? What have you learned from it?

Bigg Boss has been the biggest learning experience for me. It gave me a chance to understand what goes on inside the house, how the team works, and how the creative team functions. It was a whole new learning experience for me. Even in my personal life, there have been changes. I can now express myself better, and that's something I value.

  • Talking about Karan, there have been mixed opinions and judgments about him. He often stirs things up during arguments. Do you think he’s playing a smart game?

Yes, Karan plays smartly. He likes to stir things up. He knows how to create a spark and walk away.

  • What message would you like to give to your fans, especially now that they would love to see you on TV or OTT platforms?

I want to thank my fans and the audience for all the love and support. I truly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. There’s a lot more coming, and I hope you continue supporting me. I’ll always try to do good work for you.
