Shruti Bhist on Noyontara: Colors TV’s new supernatural thriller Noyontara is creating buzz for its mystical narrative and cultural roots. In the show, Shruti Bhist plays the lead role of Noyontara, a girl blessed with the ability to see and help wandering spirits.
Shruti Opens Up About New Show & Co-Stars
Recently, a journalist from Mayapuri spoke to Shruti, where she opened up about the show, her character, the shooting experience in Kolkata, and working with co-stars Narayani Shastri and Arjun Chakrabarty. Here are the key excerpts from the conversation:
- Tell us about your show Noyontara and your character.
Noyontara is blessed by Baba Puttnath with a divine gift – she can see and help spirits that no one else can. This character is very close to my heart because it blends emotion, power, and spirituality. It’s not just a fictional role; it’s a whole different experience.
- What challenges did you face while playing this role?
A character like this really requires imagination. When there’s no actual spirit on set and you still have to show fear or empathy on camera, it really tests your imagination and acting skills. The editing team also plays a huge role in bringing those visuals to life later.
- What was it like working with Narayani Shastri?
Narayani ma’am is an amazing person. On set and off set, she’s always warm and supportive. She regularly makes me rehearse my lines, saying “Come on, let’s do lines, forget everything else.” She helps me practice and explains how and when to deliver lines. I’ve learned so much from working with her.
- How was your shooting experience in Kolkata? What did you explore there?
We shot at Howrah Bridge and several beautiful locations in Kolkata. We even visited a real palace that is used for film shoots. Our show’s “Fairy Palace” concept is inspired by that. The designs and colors of the houses there were so unique and beautiful – you won’t find that in Mumbai. The culture and architecture of Kolkata are truly distinct and captivating.
- Who is the most fun on set?
Definitely Narayani ma’am! She’s the one who jokes around the most. Her sense of humor is amazing, and she enjoys every moment on set.
- What would you like to say to the audience?
I’d like to tell the audience that Noyontara is a unique show that combines supernatural elements, family emotion, and thrill.
Don’t miss it – airing from June 9 at 8:30 PM only on Colors TV!
