Sudha Chandran: "I'm Always Bringing Different Shades"

Sudha Chandran, a renowned actress in Indian television, is back on screen with her new show ‘Safal Hogi Teri Aaradhaana.’ In this show, she is stepping into the role of the hero's sister instead of the mother. In a candid conversation with 'Mayapuri Magazine', she discussed her character, the storyline, and the theme of surrogacy.

You’re presenting yourself in a different and new way. What are you bringing to this new show?

Sudha Chandran-  You won't see my character in the promo. My entry comes about 10-12 episodes in. My role is quite powerful, and we are presenting a compelling concept. The story revolves around a girl who goes through various circumstances related to surrogacy and eventually reaches this household. Once she’s in the house, her new struggle begins. She will meet the hero's elder sister, played by me. Whether this sister creates trouble for her or offers her love is something you'll have to watch the show to find out. I promise you, we won’t disappoint!

You have played so many roles. How is your character in this show?

Sudha Chandran- I always come with different shades. I’m a very positive person in life. My character in this show isn’t negative. It adapts based on circumstances. For the first time, I’m not playing the hero's mother; I’m playing the sister. It’s a significant change. In the show, I’m living in my father’s house and don’t want to leave. My sister-in-law is unable to deliver a baby. We share a great relationship, and she loves her brother dearly. However, when it comes to surrogacy and the baby’s delivery, chaos ensues. You’ll have to watch the show to see how it unfolds.

Your looks are always appreciated. Can you tell us about your look in this show?

Sudha Chandran: My look in this show is very simple and classic. The times of heavy bindis are gone. Earlier, I paid more attention to my appearance, but now I want to portray my character with a classic style. I have been inspired by Nita Ambani’s look and discussed it with my designer to achieve something similar. I would love to have a look like hers in the future.

What would you like to say to your audience?

Sudha Chandran- Just keep loving me as you always have. Everyone is busy in their lives, yet you find time to watch our show. That’s unconditional love. We are not giving you anything or taking anything; we’re just receiving love from you. I hope this relationship continues. As much as I love you, I hope you continue to love me just as much.

Sudha Chandran is a well-known figure in the TV industry. She has acted in shows like Kahiin Kisi Roz, Tumhari Disha, Aaradhyam, Devam Thanda Veedu, Naagin, Naagin 2, and Karmphal Daatta Shani. She has also received several TV awards for her performances. Additionally, she brought her personal life to the screen in the film Mayuri, for which she received accolades.
