Actress Tanvi, who won hearts on the small screen with her simple and sincere performance, recently spoke to Mayapuri in an exclusive conversation on the conclusion of her popular show ‘Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Mein’. In this interview, Tanvi opened up not only about her deep emotional connection with her character Prachi, but also shared how the show gave her a family-like atmosphere.
Tanvi Says Playing Prachi Felt Deeply Personal
Tanvi shared that she is very much like Prachi in real life, which is why portraying the character felt less like acting and more like a soulful experience. She also spoke warmly about the fun she had on set with co-stars Bhavika Sharma and Parth Samthaan, the bond they shared, and the overwhelming love she received from fans. Here's what she had to say.
Talking about her character, Tanvi said "Prachi is just like me. I played a 21-year-old girl in the show, and I’m actually 21 in real life too. So I didn’t have to act much — I became Prachi just by being myself. It felt very natural to me."
- Your chemistry with the rest of the cast was much appreciated. How was it working with Bhavika and Parth?
Parth is such a fun person! If you face any issues in a scene, he explains things so kindly. It was the same with Bhavika. Both of them are so easygoing that you never feel like you’ve just met — they make you feel at home instantly.
- What was your reaction when you heard the show was going off-air?
"It was a mix of emotions. When you work on a project for 4–5 months, you form a strong emotional bond. So when the sudden news comes that the show is ending, it’s a bit of a shock. There’s a strange helplessness because you can’t really do anything. But yes, eventually, you learn to accept it."
And what do you have to say about the support from your fans?
I received so much love from the fans. As soon as the news about the show going off-air started circulating, messages started pouring in. Fan pages and fans kept asking me to come live, to talk, to confirm — but at that time, we couldn’t say anything. Now everyone knows. Yes, there’s a little sadness, but that’s life — some things end so new things can begin.
She concluded by saying "I am truly grateful from the bottom of my heart that you all showered so much love on me and Prachi. I hope that you will continue supporting me in the same way in all my upcoming projects. Sending lots of love to all of you — from Tanvi!"
