"Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai" Interview – Yogendra Vikram Singh Priyanka Yadav | Yogendra Vikram Singh, who was last seen in the TV show Teri Meri Doriyaan, is now playing the role of Shikhar, Avni"s husband, in Zee TV"s new show Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai. The show revolves around a middle-class family and its struggles. Recently, Yogendra sat down with Mayapuri Magazine"s journalist Shilpa Patil to discuss his lead role, the story, and how the show is rooted in his hometown of Lucknow. Let"s find out what he had to say. Yogendra, this is your first show on Zee TV in a lead role. How does it feel to be a part of this show? It feels amazing! I"m extremely excited to return with such a beautiful story, and I"m grateful for the opportunity to be a crucial part of it. Working with Rajshree and the rest of the talented team has been fantastic. I"m thankful to Zee TV for giving me a chance to be a part of this unique story. I hope that our audience will embrace us and connect with our characters and the story. I heard you"re from Lucknow, and the story is set in a similar backdrop with the same streets. How special is this for you? It"s like the icing on the cake! The story is set in a city in Uttar Pradesh, and since I"m from Lucknow, I am very familiar with its streets, the people"s mindset, and their way of life. I understand the nuances of what people there think, how they act, and what motivates them. It"s been 12 years since I left Lucknow, and a lot has changed in the city, but it has grown in a good way. I take pride in the fact that I was born in Lucknow. Having this connection with the city and the story made it much easier for me to connect with my character. I"m very confident about portraying this role, and I truly believe this story will find a place in your heart. As you mentioned, the show focuses on relationships, especially the husband-wife dynamic. Can you elaborate on that? In relationships, love is always there, but sometimes the way we express it gets lost due to our responsibilities. We often fail to give each other time or appreciate the sacrifices we make, whether it's from the husband"s or wife"s side. Our show explores how Shikhar"s actions affect Avni. Shikhar loves his wife deeply but doesn"t get the chance to express it. He is focused on other things in life, and as a result, he misses out on the small but meaningful gestures. This show reflects that struggle and highlights how these little things matter in a relationship. The title of the show is "Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai" . Will Shikhar support Avni in fulfilling her dreams, or will the journey be different? Actually, it"s Avni who gets involved in fulfilling Shikhar"s dreams. But over time, the responsibility of fulfilling these dreams falls completely on Avni"s shoulders. These are dreams that both of them have, but they need to make sacrifices and move forward together. Avni"s dream is to see Shikhar accomplish his dreams, but she doesn"t get to witness it herself. This is the essence of the struggle and sacrifice between the characters. The show raises important issues about women in society. What are your thoughts on this? This show sheds light on the role of women and their position in society. Many TV shows depict women"s struggles and their rights, and this show also takes a step in that direction. We will portray this in a deep and meaningful way, and it will give the audience a chance to reflect on how women"s roles are changing in society and what challenges they face. Finally, what message would you like to give to your fans? I would like to ask my fans to please watch the show and understand it first before forming any judgments. It"s important that such stories get a platform, as they represent real struggles and emotions. If the audience doesn't respond well, then stories like this might stop getting the platform they deserve, and I don"t want that to happen. I hope for a time when we can watch such meaningful and family-friendly shows on TV and enjoy them with our loved ones. This show is 100% family-friendly, so make sure to watch it with your family. Along with Yogendra Vikram Singh, the show also stars Rajshree Thakur, who plays his wife, Avni. Yogendra has worked in several Bollywood films, including Gunjan Saxena, Saand Ki Aankh, Trapped, and NH 10. With this show, Yogendra is set to win hearts once again, and we can"t wait to see how his character unfolds.
