What are Ruhi's makeup choices from 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai'?

As an actress, you have something to do with makeup. How is your relationship with makeup, do you like makeup?

I love doing makeup. I have been an air hostess before, but at that time I did not know how to do even a little make-up. Even at that time, when I went for an interview, I went without make-up and all the people who came with me for the interview had come with make-up. I thought that I would not be selected because I did not go with makeup. I think some 2000 people had come there, out of which only ten people were selected, of which I was one. Even when I went for training, I did not know how to do makeup. After that, the ma'am there asked me to learn makeup, and I learned to do makeup so well in a day that she even offered me the post of grooming instructor there. I think makeup is very important for me because wherever I go, I like to be groomed even if I am going out only for five minutes. I love to do makeup and also love to wear nice clothes.

Do you prefer Kajal or liner?

Kajal, because I feel that Kajal looks great on me and makes my eyes look even prettier.

Do you prefer blush or highlighter?

Blush, because I like blush a lot because I find its pink color very cute.

 

Do you prefer lip balm or lip tint?

Lip tint, because I don't like lip balm. Lip tint because its pigmentation looks very good. And you can also apply lip tint on the cheeks.

Do you like to wear nude lipstick or bright lipstick?

Nude lipstick because it goes with any dress.

Do you like to use compact powder or loose powder?

I have never used powder so I have no idea about powder.

 

If you don't use powder, would you like to give any tips on how to finish your makeup?

If I tell you the truth, I wear very little makeup. I don't even prep for makeup. I just apply pink-colored moisturizer made of Vaseline and apply foundation on top of it. Neither do I apply primer nor do I apply fixer. I am not even in the habit of doing touch-ups because I feel that frequent touch-ups make the makeup cakey. My skin is very good and hence makeup stays on my face.

Do you like wearing heels or flats?

Heels, because I feel like I feel more confident when I wear heels.

Do you like to keep your hair open or tied up?

Keeping my hair open, because I feel that it makes my face look better. Most of the time my hair is open, I don't like to tie my hair.

Would you like to give any makeup grooming tips or skin care tips to your fans?

All I would say is that you remain as you are. I know everyone wears make-up these days, but you will not look as good with make-up as you look naturally. I wear makeup because it's my job but I'm more comfortable without makeup. Be comfortable in your skin because this is your beauty.
