Recently, a lot of Sushant Singh Rajput's films are getting shelved and delayed. With Shekhar Kapur's Paani being aborted to the space odyssey Chanda Mama Door ke being delayed for an indefinite time. Now, according to reports, Sushant's almost-ready-to-release film, Drive under Karan Johar's Dharma Productions is in deep trouble.
A leading daily quoted its source saying; “Karan has already sent back the film for re-shooting twice. But even after director Tarun Mansukhani re-shot portions of Drive, Karan was unhappy. At the moment, the future of the film seems uncertain. Because Karan is not willing to release it the way it has shaped up now.”
This is not the first time that Karan Johar and Tarun Mansukhani have creative differences. In 2009, Karan disagreed with Mansukhani's Dostana 2 starring Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Katrina Kaif, and the project was put on indefinite hold and then shelved as Mansukhani could not come up with a good script.
Drive was slated to release in 2017, was pushed to March 2018 which was also postponed to September 2018. With another delay, the film is unlikely to meet the current release date.
