Abhishek Bachchan calls pampered stars puppets

Abhishek Bachchan is currently garnering praise for his acting in his recently released film I Want to Talk. Some fans have even compared Abhishek's acting and screen presence to the late Irrfan Khan. Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan has now expressed his reaction to this.

In fact, in one of his recent interviews, Abhishek Bachchan addressed the comparisons with Irrfan for his performance in I Want To Talk, saying, "It has nothing to do with me. Stars are well-paid, pampered puppets. Here, the grand master is the puppeteer".

Abhishek said that stars need to trust and surrender to directors. The actor shared, "Even after deciding to trust the director, if you think, 'Main toh star hun, yeh nahi karunga' (I am a star, I won't do this) then I am not letting him do what he wants to do. I give you the example of Forest Gump. One of the greatest films ever made. He is not the hero, but his character is the hero. So, every actor has to take a leap of faith. Sometimes, I understand why actors don't do it, because you have burnt your fingers, but choose to work with people you can trust."

Abhishek spoke about gaining weight for the film

Recently, while talking to news agency PTI, Abhishek Bachchan opened up about gaining weight for the role of Arjun. The actor shared, "I promise you that from what you are seeing (in the poster) I can say that I am not in this shape now. I am like this and there is no prosthetic in it. Never gain weight for a film again. Trust me, at my age, it becomes very difficult to lose weight after some time."
