Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan is garnering a lot of praise for his recent film 'I Want to Talk'. Directed by Shoojit Sarkar, this film is an emotional story revolving around the relationship between a father and a daughter. Recently, Shoojit Sarkar said that Abhishek's acting in the film reflects many qualities of his mother Jaya Bachchan.

Shoojit Sarkar spoke about Abhishek

In fact, in his recent conversation, Shoojit Sarkar said, "Abhishek wins your heart in this film, I saw a lot of Jayaji in his acting. You will also see her warmth and charm in her character in the film. I remember Jayaji in a Satyajit Ray film, who was standing near the wall and staring, you will find the same staring in her eyes too."

Abhishek Bachchan reacted

While reacting to this praise of Shoojit Sarkar, Abhishek Bachchan also said that he has always been given references to his father Amitabh Bachchan's work, this was the first comparison with his mother Jaya Bachchan. He said, "In my 25-year career, there has been a huge reference to my father and his amazing work, but very few people give any credit to my beautiful mother. I am glad that Shoojit did this, she would be very happy. She keeps saying, 'You are my son too'. I am not worthy to be talked about in the same sentence with these great actors".

The film I Want to Talk collected this much

At the same time, many people have compared Abhishek Bachchan's performance in the film to Amitabh Bachchan in Piku. However, Shoojit compared Junior Bachchan to Irrfan Khan and Jaya Bachchan. The film has been critically acclaimed, and Abhishek has been praised for his interesting performance in the film, however, Shoojit Sarkar's film is struggling to make a mark at the box office. So far, I Want to Talk has collected only Rs 1.68 crore in the domestic market. Let us tell you that in the last few years, Abhishek Bachchan has been experimenting with his roles. In 2023, he was seen in the sports drama Ghoomar, and in 2022 his performance as a politician in the OTT film Dasvi was well received.
