Ajay Devgn and Oscar award-winner M M Kreem ‘re-unite’ after 26 years in Neeraj Pandey’s ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’! Song ‘Tuu’ released to mark ‘World Music Day’ Week! by Chaitanya Padukone

it was a historic moment in Bollywood cinematic history when mega-star Ajay Devgn and Oscar-Award winner genius composer-singer M M Kreem recently came together on stage. This was for the recent trailer launch of the romantic-thriller with a crime undercurrent ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’, for which Kreem- Sir (also known as M M Keeravani) has composed the music for all its amazing soulful yet melodious songs. The lyrics of ‘Auron Mein..’ are written by yet another eminent songwriter M.M-Manoj Mutashir! It may be recalled that versatile Kreem had composed the evergreen melodies ‘Hum Yahan-Tum Yahaan’ and Gali Mein Aaj Chaand Nikla (for movie Zakhm-1998) which had Ajay Devgn playing the main lead.  Interestingly, Ajay Devgn had won the National Film Award as Best Actor for ‘Zakhm’

The trailer of maverick director Neeraj Pandey’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha has taken audiences by storm. Presenting his first-ever unique (romantic season) love story, Neeraj Pandey brings back Ajay Devgn and Tabu’s sizzling chemistry to the big screen, showcasing their intense romance. This is alongside the fresh romantic pairing of handsome Shantanu Maheshwari and charming Saiee Manjrekar playing the younger  (flash-back) romantic screen versions of Ajay and Tabu and seasoned actor  Jimmy Shergill in a special role opposite Tabu.

Speaking to me, dynamic  Narendra  Hirawat producer of  ‘Auron Mein,,’ shared that it was a super-exciting sentiment that the music song tracks were being released during this week. “That’s because the ‘World Music Day’  is celebrated globally on this Friday, June 21st. As you are aware,  our brilliant ‘Auron Mein… ‘ movie composer  M M Kreem-Sir is an international musical celebrity legend who has won both the prestigious Oscar Award and the coveted Golden Globe Award for the same Best Original Song—“Naatu Naatu”  from the sensational year film “RRR”  (2022)”, said Narendra Hirawat.

M.M.Kreem has also composed (and sung) for various milestone Bollywood Hindi movies. Some of Kreem's  Hindi melody-evergreen chartbuster-songs include Tu Mile Dil Khile  (Criminal-1994) and Gali Mein Aaj Chaand Nikla (Zakhm-1998), Jaadu Hai Nasha Hai (Jism-2003) and Dil Mein Jaagi Dhadkan by Sunidhi Chauhan and Aa Bhi Jaa sung by iconic singer Lucky Ali (Sur-The Melody of Life-2002). There are so many music lovers-fans, who strongly feel that except for famous film-makers like Mahesh Bhatt, Mukesh Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt and Pritish Nandy ---rest of  Bollywood had evidently failed to recognize and reward M M Kreem's innovative composing genius talent.  

But now M M Kreem is back-with-a-bang in this latest 2024 movie ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’  directed by brilliant film-maker Neeraj Pandey  ( of ‘A Wednesday’, ‘Baby’  and ‘ M S Dhoni—The Untold Story’ fame).  Which is outside the Bhatt camp.

 While the trailer is already among the biggest-buzz in Bollywood,  the sneak peek of the beautiful melodies in the trailer has increased anticipation to unveil the musical genius crafted by prestigious Oscar-winning music legendary composer-singer  MM Keeravani  ( also known as M M Kreem)  who also won the coveted Golden Globe Award for the same Best Original Song—“Naatu Naatu”  from  the sensational year 2022 film “RRR”

Releasing the first song from the film titled Tuu, ‘Tuu—Holi Ke Rangon Jaisi Tuu’ the makers showcase the innocence of young romance and the longing of meeting after a long period, all emotions expressed through the trending-viral magical song sung by eminent singers Sukhwinder Singh and Javed Ali.

Speaking about the song, writer-director Neeraj Pandey shares, “It’s said that there are seven stages of love. ‘Tuu’ is a classic song that captures the essence of all of these seven in a duration of 4 minutes and 11 seconds. It’s a song about love and there was a lot of creative efforts involved too.”.

Crafting these beautiful tunes for this love saga, Oscar-winning music composer MM Kreem shares, “Adrenaline rush followed by composed calmness, festive chants followed by admiration of the lover, anticipated climax followed by a determined statement… the three verses of this love song display the rainbow of romance in the air - conceived by passionate movie maker Neeraj Pandey. It was a much-cherished experience for me and this movie  ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ is very special for me, because I have composed such soul-stirring meaningful yet melodious  4 to 5  songs,” disclosed M M Kreem.   

 It took more than two years to fine-tune the album of four songs for Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. Happy to release the song TUU- as the first track from this epic Love story”

Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha is an epic love story that chronicles the life of Krishna and Vasudha as their fledgling relationship faces a lot of hardship eventually, they separate as Krishna ends up committing multiple murders and is sentenced to life imprisonment. After 22 years Krishna is granted pardon and released from jail and his final meeting with Vasudha forms the crux of the movie. Will they end up together? Will their love survive the test of time?

NH Studioz presents, A Friday Filmworks Production, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is produced by Narendra Hirawat, Kumar Mangat Pathak (Panorama Studios), Sangeeta Ahir & Shital Bhatia. The film is set for a theatrical cinema release on  Friday 5th July 2024.
