Akshay Kumar Begins Shooting for Bhoot Bangla, Releasing This Year

Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are working together again after 14 years in a horror comedy called 'Bhoot Bangla'. Fans are eagerly waiting for the film. Meanwhile, the release date of Akshay Kumar's film 'Bhoot Bangla' has been shared.

Let us tell you that Akshay Kumar has shared a new poster of the film 'Bhoot Bangla'. In the poster of the film, Akshay Kumar is seen sitting on a stone figure holding a lantern. In this poster, the visual behind Akshay gives a glimpse of a ghost story and the scene with a lantern in his hand adds to the fear in this story. Sharing this poster, the actor wrote, "Very excited to be on set with my favorite @priyadarshan.official to start shooting for my horror comedy #BhootBangla from today. This double dose of fear and laughter will be ready for you on April 2, 2026! Till then, best wishes to you.

Akshay Kumar said this while working with Priyadarshan

Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar have worked together in films like Hera Pheri, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and Bhagam Bhag. Their last film together was Khatta Meetha, a political satire released in 2010. Priyadarshan had earlier said that he was excited to reunite with Akshay. Speaking to PTI, he said, "Every film I have made with him has been a super hit. People say you are the reason Akshay is doing (comedy), but I don't believe all that. What I did was to take advantage of his sense of humor (on-screen). We are working together after 14 years and I hope things work out. It is a challenge. We may not live up to (audience's) expectations, but I am trying my best."

The film Bhoot Bangla is based on black magic

Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhoot Bangla is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta R Kapoor, and Akshay Kumar's production house, Cape of Good Films. The film is co-produced by Farah Sheikh and Vedant Bali. The story is written by Akash A Kaushik and the screenplay is written by Rohan Shankar, Abhilash Nair, and Priyadarshan. The dialogues are by Rohan Shankar. Vamika Gabbi has joined Akshay's horror-comedy. The film will have three main female actors and Vamika is one of them. Bhoot Bangla is a horror comedy in which Akshay can play the role of a magician along with three female actors. The film is based on black magic.
