Akshay Kumar's Journey to Connect with the 'Sarfira' Director

Akshay Kumar's film 'Sarfira' has been released in theatres today on 12th July. Apart from Akshay Kumar, this film also stars many famous actors including Radhika Madan, Paresh Rawal, and Seema Biswas. The film is directed by Sudha Kongra. Akshay Kumar recently said that it took him some time to get along with Sarfira's director Sudha Kongra.

Akshay Kumar said this about Sudha Kongara

Actually, Akshay Kumar was asked about the first day of shooting in his latest interview. He said, "The first day of shooting always takes time for the actor to mingle with the director. I have to learn their way of working. Sarfira took a while, maybe five or six days. And then, after that, everything was very smooth. Sudha is a director who sets up her camera and tells the actor what to do. But there are also many directors who ask, 'You tell me what you are going to do, and I will move the camera accordingly. Sudha was telling me what to do, not the other way around.'"

Also, in the same interview, Sudha Kongara admitted that it took time for her and Akshay Kumar to get on the same page when they started shooting for the film. She said, "Surya is Surya. I have known him for 25 years, and it is very easy to tell him what I want. He is very friendly and easy-going. But with Akshay sir, it is 'sir' first. I was meeting this gentleman for the first time. Since I had no filter, it was almost like that. For the first six days, he was not happy. He said, 'Why is this girl making me do all this nonsense?' Then he and the producer spoke to me and I said, 'Do whatever you want to do and when it is not right I will tell you'".

Sudha Kongara further added, "After six days, I showed him a cut of a particular scene and the next day he came to me and said, 'I have a way of performing. I have a way and a process of doing things, but this is the first time I am trying to understand what is going on in your mind. I am trying to give that to you.' I said, 'Great. I like it.' From there, we made peace and we had a great time shooting with each other. I really enjoyed working with him. He keeps saying, 'Isko toh filter hi nahi hai'."
