Alia Bhatt announces new film 'Alpha' with Yash Raj

Alia Bhatt has finally announced her new film Her upcoming Spy Universe film is titled "Alpha" On Friday morning, the actress dropped a video on her Instagram handle and announced that the shooting of the much-awaited film has finally begun The clip shows 'Alpha' written on it while Alia's voice says, "The very first letter of the Greek alphabet and the motto of our program, First, Fastest, Bravest If you look carefully, there is a jungle in every city and an Alpha will rule every jungle

Alia Bhatt's standalone YRF Spy Universe film was confirmed earlier this year when Yash Raj Films CEO Akshay Vidhani said, "As one of the most prized IPs, we take a lot of pride in it, so there are a lot of things to come in the spy universe. We will see more and more films being made under it but, of course, not everything is being shared here. We will talk about it at the appropriate time. For now, I can say that Alia Bhatt is going to do a spy universe film." It was later confirmed that apart from Alia, Sharvari Wagh will also play an important role in the film.

Spy Universe has made great films

Over the years, YRF has established its Spy Universe in the film industry. Before Alia and Sharvari, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone have also been a part of YRF Spy Universe films. While Katrina played ISI agent Zoya in the popular Tiger franchise, Deepika played ISI spy Rubina in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathan. Kiara Advani also recently joined the Spy Universe. She will be seen in Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR-led War 2.
