Alia-Vicky's 'Love and War' shot on 80s disco set, Ranbir not seen together

According to the latest buzz, the two stars were busy shooting on an elaborate 80s disco set, which had around 30 people dressed as soldiers. Mid-Day published an exclusive report about the shoot and quoted a source confirming that Alia and Vicky shot for the entire week while Ranbir Kapoor was busy with his other commitments, including his appearance at the 55th International Film Festival of India. "The set has been designed to mimic an 80s disco. Sanjay sir wanted a setting that exudes both nostalgia and fantasy. The scene shows around 30 soldiers enjoying their time on the dance floor while retro songs like Laila Main Laila play in the background.

In contrast, Alia and Vicky's characters are seen having an intense conversation as they share their inner turmoil," the source explained. The report further states that Alia has reserved 10 days to shoot for Love and War, after which she will move on to another shooting schedule for YRF's Alpha alongside Sharvari Wagh.

The source added, "Alia is undergoing intense training to ensure she is in tune with her character in Love and War. In early December, she will go back to the world of Alpha as the team begins the next schedule." Bhansali's Love and War is an epic saga that blends romance and action. While nothing has been revealed about the film yet, various reports suggest that Vicky is playing the role of a soldier in the film.

Release date announced

Recently, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has officially announced the release date of his most awaited film Love and War starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. At the time of the announcement of this film, its release date was fixed as Christmas 2025. But now its release date has been extended to 20 March 2026. Actually, this time there will be a long weekend that will include festivals like Ramzan, Ram Navami and Gudi Padwa. Due to this the film can benefit and it is expected to earn well at the box office.
