The Telangana High Court on Friday granted interim bail to actor Allu Arjun till January 21. Allu Arjun is accused of culpable homicide in the case of the death of a mother of two children in a stampede at a theater during the premiere of his new film 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'. Allu Arjun gave a statement after coming out of jail

Talking about his recent arrest and the tragic incident that took place during the premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule, the actor expressed his gratitude to his fans and offered condolences to the bereaved family. The actor said, "I thank everyone for the love and support. I want to thank all my fans. There is nothing to worry about. I am fine. I am a law-abiding citizen and will cooperate. I want to once again express my condolences to the family. It was an unfortunate incident. We are sorry for what happened".

Allu Arjun was arrested from his Banjara Hills home on Friday, 13 December 2024, after a fan died during the premiere of his new film Pushpa 2 last week. During the screening of the film at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad on 4 December, a stampede-like situation arose after the actor and his co-star Rashmika Mandanna arrived there. Subsequently, 35-year-old Revathi died in the stampede, while her son was admitted to the hospital, where his condition remains critical. Allu Arjun was named as an accused in the FIR lodged by the deceased's husband.
Allu Arjun gets interim bail for four weeks
Let us tell you that the lower court sent Allu Arjun to judicial custody for 14 days, but a few hours later the Telangana High Court granted him interim bail for four weeks. However, the actor's troubles are not over yet, as he remained in jail overnight.
The deceased's husband is ready to withdraw the case
Meanwhile, the husband of the woman who died in the stampede said on Friday that Allu Arjun was not at fault. He does not hold the actor responsible for the tragedy. The woman's husband Bhaskar said that he is 'ready to withdraw' his case filed in connection with the incident. He told reporters, 'It was not wrong for Allu Arjun to reach the cinema hall. I am ready to withdraw my case.' Bhaskar said that the police did not give him any information about Arjun's arrest and he came to know about it only from the news.
