Why did Kareena want to leave Aamir Khan's Lal Singh Chaddha midway?

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aamir Khan's film 'Lal Singh Chaddha' was released in the year 2022. The shooting of this film was done during Covid-19. The story and acting of the film were highly praised, but the film could not do wonders at the box office. Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor has revealed that she wanted to leave the shooting of the film 'Lal Singh Chaddha' midway.

Because of this, Kareena wanted to leave the film midway

In fact, Kareena Kapoor Khan said during her recent conversation, “We got Covid during the shooting of Laal Singh Chaddha and then I got pregnant in Covid. And I was thinking, 'Oh my God! We are in the middle of this film and I have to call Aamir and tell him that it is Covid. We have shot 50-60% of the film and I am pregnant'. Saif looked at me and said, 'I think it is Aamir, and you should tell him. We are stuck in this situation where we don't even know when this lockdown is going to open, what is going to happen. You don't even need to say that this is a mistake. Things keep happening, we have been at home for one and a half years. Don't be scared, just pick up the phone.' Because I didn't know how he would take it because it is in the middle of shooting”.

Continuing her talk, Kareena Kapoor further said, “I called him and said, 'I don't know, if you want to replace me, if you can, but that's it. I am a mother and I want my second child. So should I apologize, I don't know.' I was literally babbling, as I am doing right now. And he just said, 'I am very happy for you. We are going to do this, and we are going to do it together. I am going to wait for you, and no matter what it takes, I will make it happen.' There are people in the industry who value you for moving your life forward and sticking to your decision. I am very happy that he did that and we made this film. Everyone liked it, or not, but that's just how life is”. 

Aamir Khan said this when the film flopped

Aamir met Kareena at an event after Laal Singh Chaddha failed at the box office. The actor said at that time, "Apni picture nahi chale, baat toh karegi na mujhse?" Kareena replied that her relationship with people does not depend on the box office performance of her films. She said that her character of Roopa in the film did more for her as an actor than Rohit Shetty's police drama Singham Again.
