Anil Kapoor Immerses Mother Nirmal’s Ashes in Ganga: Producer Boney Kapoor and actor Anil Kapoor visited Parmarth Niketan Ashram yesterday to pray for their mother. During their visit, they met Swami Chidananda Saraswati. Now, veteran actor Anil Kapoor immersed the ashes of his late mother Nirmal Kapoor in the Ganges (Nirmal Kapoor Ashes In Ganga). The actor shared several pictures on his Instagram in which he is seen performing the rituals.

Let us tell you that Anil Kapoor shared several pictures on his Instagram in which he is seen performing rituals. In the picture, the actor is seen wearing white clothes, with a black shawl around his neck. In another picture, Anil Kapoor is seen sitting on the ground with folded hands in worship. Along with him, other men were also sitting wearing white clothes. Sadhvi Bhagwati Saraswati is also seen in the picture, who is participating in the ritual wearing saffron clothes.

The actor shared an emotional note

While sharing these pictures, Anil Kapoor wrote, "Grief and healing. Today we immersed mother's ashes in the Ganges... at the same place where we laid father to rest almost a decade ago..."

Continuing his talk, the actor said that his mother and father are finally back together. Anil wrote, "With the sadness came a calm sense of peace, as mom and dad are finally back together... with each other, finally home". Let us tell you that Anil Kapoor had immersed the ashes of his late father Surinder Kapoor at this place 10 years ago. 

Nirmal Kapoor died on 2 May

Nirmal Kapoor was married to Surinder Kapoor, a well-known producer in the film industry. She had four children: Boney, Anil, Sanjay and Reena Kapoor Marwah. After the news of her death, many Bollywood celebrities like Javed Akhtar, Rani Mukerji, Anupam Kher, Jackie Shroff and Veer Paharia reached out to console her family. Nirmal Kapoor died on May 2. Her funeral took place on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the Vile Parle crematorium in Pawan Hans, Mumbai.
