Arijit Singh upset over demand to sing Kolkata rape murder song in UK

Popular singer Arijit Singh is in the news these days for his concert. Recently, Arijit did his live concert in the UK. Meanwhile, a video of the singer from the UK music concert is going viral. In which he is seen refusing to sing a song during his concert which he had made after the rape and murder of a doctor in Kolkata.

Arijit rejected the fan's demand

Actually, in a video shared on social media, Arijit Singh sang the song 'Ramta Jogi' from the film Taal. Arijit Singh got angry when a fan requested him to play R Kobe, the protest song he made after the Kolkata incidents. After this, the singer stopped his song and replied, "This is not the place, people have not come here to protest. Yes? They have come here to listen to me. This is my job, isn't it? This is my heart, this is what you are saying. Not the right time, not the right place".

Let us tell you that Arijit Singh recorded R Kobe after the rape-murder incident in Kolkata on 9 August, which shook the whole country. The meaning of this song is "If not now, then when", in which people have been called upon to join the fight for the safety and dignity of women. Within three weeks of its release, this Bengali song has been viewed more than 2 million times on YouTube.

A female trainer doctor was raped and murdered in RG Kar Medical College

Let us tell you that on August 9, a graduate trainer female doctor was raped and murdered in the seminar hall of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, after which a civilian volunteer of Kolkata Police was arrested.
