JP Dutta's Border 2 is one of the most awaited upcoming films of Bollywood. The sequel of Border starring Sunny Deol will be released in theatres on January 23, 2026. Ever since the announcement of the film, fans have been eagerly waiting for updates on the war drama. Currently, the latest update is about actor Paramveer Singh Cheema joining the star-studded cast of Border 2. The cast includes Sunny, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty.

Paramveer Singh Cheema joins Border 2

In an official statement, Paramvir Singh Cheema expressed his excitement about joining JP Dutta's Border 2. The actor, who was recently seen in Black Warrant, will make his Bollywood debut with the war drama. He said, "I am still in a state of confusion that this is all happening. The first thing I did was call my grandmother and said, 'Border 2 cinema dekhne jaana hai'. I can't describe this experience in words. There is only one song that keeps playing in my mind - Sandese Aate Hain!"

About the actor 

For those who don't know, Paramveer is known for his performances in OTT projects like Chamak, Black Warrant, and others. After impressing everyone with his acting skills in the webspace, he is all set to embark on a new journey with Border 2. Currently, Cheema is busy shooting a war scene for the film.

Nidhi Dutta on carrying forward her father's legacy

JP Dutta's daughter Nidhi Dutta recently spoke about taking her father's legacy forward with Border 2. In an interview, Nidhi (co-producer of the film) said, "I wouldn't use the word pressure, I would call it a responsibility. I think it's a huge responsibility and it's a blessing to be able to do this. I'm glad I have the opportunity to tell more stories of the 1971 war and take the franchise forward."
