With the aim of promoting film production in Uttar Pradesh and developing the state as a major cinema hub, a big step has been taken regarding the 'International Film City' project proposed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Famous film producer Boney Kapoor's company, Bayview Projects LLP, has submitted the detailed layout plan of this ambitious project to the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA).
Meeting with Yogi Adityanath
Boney Kapoor recently had a formal meeting with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow. During this, he presented a bouquet of flowers to CM Yogi and discussed this important project. Along with the picture shared on Instagram, Boney Kapoor wrote, "Had a fruitful meeting with the Honorable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath ji." This meeting has infused new energy into the future of the film industry.
An up-to-date international film city will be built in Sector 21
This International Film City will be developed on more than 1,000 acres of land in Sector-21 of Yamuna Expressway. Its first phase will be spread over 230 acres, the estimated cost of which is said to be Rs 1,510 crore. YEIDA CEO Arun Veer Singh informed that Boney Kapoor's company has placed the highest bid for this project, under which they have been allowed to work on the basis of an 18 percent revenue share.
Development will happen in three phases
This mega project will be completed in three phases:

Phase I (230 acres) – It will have film studios, sound stages, post-production units, and a film institute.

75 acres of land – It will be used for the construction of offices and entertainment complexes.

Remaining 770 acres – In this, the work of expansion of Film City will be done under the second and third phases.
UP will get a new identity
The construction of this film city will establish Uttar Pradesh as a major hub for Bollywood and other film industries. Local youth will get new employment opportunities and the state's economy will also be strengthened. Also, the film institute being built here will also provide training to new talent. The association of an experienced filmmaker like Boney Kapoor with this project is a big and positive step towards the success of the film city. This initiative of the Yogi Adityanath government will not only put UP on the global film map, but will also inspire filmmakers from all over the country towards new possibilities.
