Film Border 2: Rupali Ganguly Reacts to Diljit Dosanjh’s Exit, Says ‘Watching Such Actors in Films…’

Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has been facing criticism ever since he announced that Pakistani artist Hania Aamir will star in the film 'Sardaar Ji 3'. Now news is coming that Diljit Dosanjh has been dropped from Border 2 amid the Sardar Ji 3 controversy. After hearing this news, Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly has criticized Diljit Dosanjh without naming him.

Along with this, Rupali Ganguly praised the Border 2 team for removing Diljit Dosanjh from the film, but there is no confirmed report about this. A film that celebrates our soldiers and national pride should reflect that spirit in every aspect. There is no place for confused loyalties in a film about national pride".

Was Diljit Dosanjh dropped from Border 2?

Several reports have suggested that the makers of Border 2 might remove Diljit from the film, and he will be replaced by actor-singer Ammy Virk. However, a source close to the production said, "There are no plans to remove or replace Diljit from Border 2. His casting was confirmed almost nine months ago, much before the recent unfortunate events. Almost half the film has already been shot, and any replacement at this stage would be logistically impossible."

'Border 2' will be released on 23 January 2026

Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty will work with Diljit Dosanjh in the film Border 2. Border 2 will be released on 23 January 2026. It is being described as India's biggest war film to date. 'Border 2' is being produced by the powerful production team of Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta. Presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in association with JP Dutta's JP Films and directed by Anurag Singh, the sequel is set to carry forward the legacy of the iconic original while delivering a spectacular cinematic experience.
