Cannes Criticisms Can't Dim Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's Shine

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, a longtime Cannes red carpet fixture, is facing an unusual situation this year – criticism for her outfits.  The 50-year-old actress often hailed as the "Queen of Cannes," donned a black and gold Falguni Shane Peacock gown for the festival's opening night. The dress featured dramatic elements like puffy white sleeves and a long cape, adorned with gold foil details throughout the bodice.

Aishwarya Embraces Flamboyant Design with Magical Elegance

While some found the design with its puffy sleeves, long cape, and gold foil embellishments to be "too flamboyant," Aishwarya reportedly feels differently. In a recent interview with Vogue, she expressed her admiration for the creation, stating, "The look last evening on the red carpet was designed by my dearest friends Shane and Falguni Peacock. They call it gilded glow but to me, it was just magical."

Taking through her makeup process for her look Aish states, "We agreed on creating a fresh look, keeping it easy and beautiful." She credited L'Oreal's Panorama mascara for playing a key role in achieving her desired look.

According to the beautiful icon herself, everyone is an icon and Women's representation doesn't need whispering they need to be bold.

This isn't the first time Aishwarya has turned heads at Cannes. A longtime attendee, she's established herself as a fashion icon at the prestigious festival. It appears even online criticism can't dampen her confidence in her style.
