The highly anticipated trailer of Vicky Kaushal's film Chhaava was launched on January 22nd. At the trailer launch event, Vicky, who plays the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, was joined by Rashmika Mandanna, who portrays his wife Yesubai, director Laxman Utekar, and Madock Films’ founder and producer Dinesh Vijan.

The highlight of the event was the grand entrance made by the cast and crew. Before coming to the stage, Vicky, Dinesh, and Laxman made a dramatic entry into the auditorium, dancing on a jeep with several dancers surrounding them and flowers showered upon them.

Once on stage, all the artists took off their shoes as a mark of respect to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, which was appreciated by the media and audience. However, Rashmika, who had injured her foot during the shoot of Salman Khan’s Sikandar, arrived limping, and Vicky was seen helping her.

At the Chhaava trailer launch, Vicky was seen in a white kurta and pajama, while Rashmika looked beautiful in a red Anarkali suit, with a bindi on her forehead, earrings, and her hair styled in a bun.

Dinesh Vijan’s Words

Madock Films’ founder and producer Dinesh Vijan, upon taking the stage, expressed that Chhaava is the culmination of his 20 years of hard work. He mentioned that after all these years, they were in a position to create such a film and added that he believes Vicky’s role in this film is his best performance so far.

Rashmika echoed Vicky’s sentiments, adding that Laxman is a wonderful person to work with.

Akshay Khanna as ‘Aurangzeb’

Laxman concluded by mentioning that while there have been other films about Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, none have truly captured the grandeur of his empire, mainly due to budget constraints. Chhaava aims to fill that gap.
