In a shocking incident last night, a stone-pelting attack took place at the residence of South Indian superstar and Pushpa 2 actor Allu Arjun in Hyderabad. The attackers attempted to damage his property by throwing stones at the house and vandalizing items, including flower pots.
According to the police, the protesters climbed the premises carrying placards and started shouting slogans. They also threw tomatoes at the house. The situation escalated when Allu Arjun's security staff intervened and persuaded the protesters to come down from the wall, leading to a confrontation.
In connection with the incident, the police arrested six people, who were released this morning after posting bail of Rs. 10,000 each and providing two sureties. The accused claimed to be students from Osmania University and stated that they were protesting for justice for the family of a woman who died in a stampede at the Sandhya Theatre.
It’s important to note that on December 22, a few members of the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OUJAC) had tried to forcefully enter Allu Arjun's house in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Their demand was that the family of the deceased woman be compensated with Rs. 1 crore. However, Allu Arjun had already announced a contribution of Rs. 25 lakh to the family, while the director of the film had pledged Rs. 5 lakh.
Meanwhile, Telangana’s Chief Minister Revanth Reddy condemned the incident and called for strict police action. He posted on his X account: “I strongly condemn the attacks on the homes of film personalities. I have instructed the DG of Police and the city police commissioner to take strict action regarding law and order. No leniency will be tolerated. Senior officers must take precautions to ensure that no police personnel involved in the Sandhya Theatre incident obstructs action."

Now, the matter has taken a political turn. After the accused were granted bail, BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) leader Krishna K made a statement, claiming that Srinivas (one of the accused) was a close associate of Revanth Reddy, the Telangana CM, and the Congress candidate in the 2019 District Parishad Territorial Constituency (ZPTC) elections.
Krishna K posted some pictures on social media and said, “OUJAC was started in 2009 for the cause of a greater Telangana. Using it for violence and blackmail is despicable. Reddy Srinivas, who attacked Allu Arjun’s residence, is not a student leader from Osmania University. He is a close associate of Revanth and was a key supporter of the Congress candidate in the 2019 ZPTC elections in Kodangal.”

However, the Congress party has dismissed these allegations as baseless and unfounded. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee official spokesperson Sama Ram Mohan Reddy told NDTV, "None of them belong to Congress. If they find any Congress link, those workers will stand disqualified."
Meanwhile, following the incident, Allu Arjun has asserted his innocence, stating that everyone has seen what happened at his house. He emphasized that it is now time for the responsible parties to take appropriate action. He also urged people to maintain peace and exercise patience.
