Dassahra: Bobby Deol to Perform Ravan Dahan at Red Fort This Festival

Dussehra : This Dussehra, Delhi's grand Ramlila is set to be even more spectacular with Bollywood star Bobby Deol joining the celebrations. According to reports, Bobby Deol has been invited by the Luv Kush Ramlila Committee to perform the symbolic burning of Ravana's effigy (Bobby Deol To Perform Ravan Dahan) at the historic Red Fort grounds on October 2nd.

In a video message shared by the organizers, Bobby Deol expressed his joy at being a part of the prestigious event. Speaking in his distinctive deep voice, he said, "Iss baar main aa raha hu (I am coming to Delhi's Ramlila... so see you on Dussehra)." His presence is expected to draw a huge crowd, as the annual celebrations at the Red Fort are typically attended by millions.

 Meanwhile, Arjun Kumar, president of the Luv Kush Ramlila Committee, said Bobby's participation will make this year's celebration even more memorable. He said, "Bobby Deol's participation will add star power to the celebrations and make Dussehra night truly spectacular."

Poonam Pandey will be attending Ramlila.

Poonam Pandey, who plays Mandodari in the Ramlila, will be seen on stage amid controversy. The VHP and BJP had objected to her selection, but organizers said she would continue in the role. Organizer Arjun Kumar defended the decision, saying, "She is an artist; we will not replace her. Everyone has the right to express their opinion." Poonam Pandey will share the stage with Arya Babbar and arrived in Delhi on September 26 for rehearsals.
