On Thursday, December 11, 2025, a prayer meeting was held at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in Janpath to remember and honor Dharmendra's memory. During the ceremony, an emotional Hema Malini delivered a heartfelt speech, with her daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, standing by her side as she addressed the crowd from the stage. Holding back tears, Hema said, "The whole world is mourning his passing, but for me, it's a huge shock, the loss of a companionship that stood the test of time."

Dharmendra’s Unfinished Poetry Dream Revealed

Recalling Dharmendra's unfulfilled dream, Hema Malini said, "Over time, a hidden aspect of his personality came to the fore when he began writing Urdu poetry. His special quality was that no matter the situation, he would recite a couplet for it. I often told him that he should write a book – his fans would love it. So, he was very serious about it and was planning everything, but it remained incomplete."
