The film's story is inspired by the 1999 IC-814 plane hijacking and the 2001 attack on the Indian Parliament. The story begins with Ajay Sanyal (R. Madhavan), the head of an Indian intelligence agency, who plans to dismantle a terrorist and underworld network operating in Pakistan.
