Heartiest Happy B'day (March 14th) to modest mega-star ‘Perfectionist’ actor-singer-director-producer AAMIR KHAN who is now 59 years ‘young’!  The super-success, critical acclaim, and audience appreciation of his latest social-comedy-suspense-thriller home production movie Laapataa Ladies (brilliantly directed by ex-wife Kiran Rao)  has been more like his  B'day Gift this year.

It was very heart-warming for me and the news-media people present when Aamir openly expressed his sincere gratitude to his loyal fans, the theatre audiences, and the news media for the emotional support given to him for his home-production  Laapataa Ladies before he cut his ‘birthday cake’.

Addressing the news-media (on-record) he said that  ‘Lagaan’ lead actor Aamir said he was most proud of his latest  ‘Laapataa Ladies’ was one of the best movies of his home-banner. That’s because he felt the movie is a fundamental film on positive family values, human nature and a wonderful entertainer. “Please visit the nearest theatre watch the movie ‘Laapataa Ladies’ and the theatre-ticket will be my birthday-gift”, he appealed with his charming smile..    

It's been my honour knowing Aamir-bhai over the past 36 years, as a modest, unassuming outspoken actor with that streak-of-mischief.  As a film-journalist, I used to know Aamir-bhai  even before the release of his initial debut movie Qayamat Sey Qayamat Tak (1988) and much later the shock-value crime-thriller Raakh (1989) .After I had done his news-media-interview in 1988 at his residence, the kind-natured Aamir even dropped me in his car, which he was himself driving, at the main road traffic junction  Passionate actor Aamir’s excellence in contrasting lead roles ranging from Lagaan to Fanaa, from Ghajini to Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar and from Rangeela to Raja Hindustani and from Dhoom-3  to Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke  makes him an institution in versatile acting. with his glorious achievements,  Papa Tahir-sahab Hussain would be surely smiling from Up There --- Papa kehte hain badaa naam karega 🎶) !
