Diljit Dosanjh Border 2 Update: The controversy surrounding Pakistani actress Hania Aamir’s casting in the Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3 triggered major backlash, including a ban on Diljit Dosanjh by FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees). However, there's now a major development—Diljit has received partial relief from the ban and is allowed to finish filming his upcoming war drama Border 2.

Relief Granted After Bhushan Kumar's Appeal

According to reports, FWICE President B. N. Tiwari confirmed that this decision was made after producer Bhushan Kumar personally appealed to the federation. Since 80–85% of the movie was already completed and most of Diljit’s scenes were shot, FWICE permitted him to finish his part.

Ashoke Pandit Confirms Federation's Stance

FWICE member Ashoke Pandit elaborated, “Bhushan Kumar’s team clarified that they’re committed to national sentiment but sought an exception due to the film’s advanced stage.” The team also committed in writing that Diljit will not be cast in future films.

Ban Still Holds for Future Projects

FWICE made it clear that this relief is only for 'Border 2'. Any filmmaker who casts Diljit Dosanjh in future projects will be doing so at their own risk, as the federation won't support or protect them from consequences.

Controversy Sparked by Hania Aamir's Appearance

The backlash began when the trailer of Sardaar Ji 3 showed a glimpse of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. After the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack and her previous criticism of India's Operation Sindoor, her involvement in an Indian production ignited public anger.

Diljit’s Crucial Role in 'Border 2'

Currently, 'Border 2' is being shot in Pune, directed by Anurag Singh. The patriotic film features stars like Sunny Deol, Ahan Shetty, and Varun Dhawan, with Diljit playing a key role. Despite the controversy, excitement remains high among fans.
