Diljit Dosanjh Sardaar Ji 3 Scandal: Actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh is facing heavy criticism for working with Pakistani artist Hania Aamir in his film 'Sardaar Ji 3'. Now, Anupam Kher( Anupam Kher)has reacted to the ongoing controversy over Diljit Dosanjh working with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in Sardar Ji 3. The veteran actor said that Diljit Dosanjh has the "freedom to exercise his right".

Anupam Kher reacted on Sardar Ji 3 controversy

In fact, in his latest interview, Anupam Kher reacted to the ongoing controversy over working in Sardar Ji 3 and said, "It is his fundamental right. He has complete freedom to exercise his right, and he should be given the freedom to exercise it. I can say from my point of view that maybe I would not have done what he did".

'I am not that great'- Anupam Kher  

Anupam Kher compared India to his family and Pakistan to his neighbour. He said, "I would say, 'You slapped my father, but you sing very well, you play the tabla very well, so come to my house and perform.' But I will not be able to do that. I am not that great. I will not hit him back, but I will not give him the right to follow the rules that I follow in my house. I follow the same in my country, too. I am not that great that I can see my family getting beaten up or my sister's sindoor getting destroyed for art. Those who can do that have complete freedom".

'Sardarji 3' released only in foreign countries 

Diljit has been facing massive criticism for working with Hania in Sardar Ji 3. With tensions between India and Pakistan rising after the recent Pahalgam terror attack, the timing of the release has only added fuel to the ongoing controversy. The film is releasing in cinemas overseas on June 27.

Anupam Kher's film 'Tanvi: The Great' will be released on 18 July
