Singer Diljit Dosanjh has recently released a new song Tension Mitra Nu Hai Ni. Now, a section on the internet has criticized this song saying that Diljit makes songs for children.

Instagram user Brown Munde TV shared the video of the new song. The video read, "Brother make songs for 12 year olds." The caption read, "Why is he jumping like that? Come on brother, you are 41 years old." Reacting to the post, one person said, "What average songs are these." One comment read, "Leave me. Your stupid jokes are better than this song." Another person wrote, "Chatgapt make more sensible songs."

Some fans support Diljit

However, many of them supported Diljit. "The music is great and fun. Why this criticism?" asked a fan. "Never been to Diljit's music show but this guy represents Punjab through his art," wrote one person. "The man loves his culture with every particle of his body. I feel proud when he represents Punjabi people," read a comment. "It's true that with success comes a lot of jealousy from mediocre people!" commented another fan.

The release of Diljit's new song comes just a month after he concluded his Dil-Luminati India Tour in Ludhiana on December 31. He also performed in other cities across India including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Guwahati. The Ludhiana concert was added at the last minute as part of the Dil-Luminati India Tour, which was earlier scheduled to conclude in Guwahati on December 29.

About Diljit's upcoming films

Fans will see Diljit in many films including Border 2. The film will also star Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty and Sunny Deol. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta and Nidhi Dutta and will be directed by Anurag Singh. Border 2 will be released in cinemas worldwide on January 23, 2026. Border, released in 1997, is an important film in Indian cinema, depicting the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, starring stars like Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Sunil Shetty and Akshaye Khanna.

Diljit's much-awaited film Punjab '95, which was scheduled to release worldwide except India on February 7, has been delayed. The film is based on the life and death of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra. Directed by Honey Trehan and produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies, the film highlights Jaswant's relentless quest for justice during Punjab's turbulent militancy era, highlighting his investigation into human rights violations and disappearances of Sikhs. He was abducted and murdered in 1995. The film also stars Arjun Rampal and Suvinder Vicky.
