The police were informed at 3 am and the actor was rushed to Lilavati Hospital at 3:30 am.

The statement issued by Doctors

Dr. Nitin Dange, who was involved in the surgery, said in an official statement, "Saif Ali Khan was admitted to Lilavati Hospital at 2 am. He suffered a serious thoracic spinal injury due to a knife stuck in the spine. Surgery was performed to remove the knife and treat the leaking spinal fluid. He had two more deep wounds on his left arm and the right side of his neck, which were treated by the plastic surgery team led by Dr. Leena Jain. Cardiologist Dr. Srinivas Kudva was also monitoring him. Now his condition is completely stable and he is out of danger".
