Film Ramayana Cast: Actress to Play Urmila, Lakshman’s Wife in Ranbir’s Epic Drama

Film Ramayana Cast: The magic of the epic film Ramayana, being directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is captivating the audience. Another new entry has created a stir in this grand film, which is going to be released on Diwali of the year 2026 (Film Ramayana Release Date). TV industry's emerging actress Surabhi Das has got a chance to play the role of Lakshman's wife Urmila (Surabhi Das As Urmila In Ramayana) in this film. Surabhi, who hails from Assam, had earlier made a name for herself with TV shows like Nima Denzongpa, but now this character of hers will take her to a new level.

4000 crores worth of grandeur and a star cast

The first part of the shooting of Ramayana has been completed. In this film, made on a budget of Rs 4000 crore (Film Ramayana Budget), Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Lord Rama, while Sai Pallavi is playing the role of Sita. TV actor Ravi Dubey will be seen in the role of Laxman. At the same time, recently the name of Marathi actor Adinath Kothare has been revealed for the role of Bharat.

Surbhi's entry in the role of Urmila

TV actress Surabhi Das, who is also very popular on social media, is playing the role of Urmila, wife of Laxman and sister of Mata Sita in the film. She herself confirmed this through an Instagram post, in which she wrote, "I feel honored to be a part of Ramayana." Although she did not reveal her character, but in media reports she has been told to play the role of Urmila.

As glamorous as Surbhi is in real life, her character in the film is going to be equally emotional and intense. She said in an interview that she spent most of the time with Sai Pallavi on the sets of the film and also praised Ranbir Kapoor's professionalism. This will be Surbhi Das' first Bollywood film, and she has also shared a photo with Ranbir and Sai Pallavi on Instagram, on which she is getting a lot of love from the audience. Now it will be interesting to see what impact she leaves on the screen as Urmila.
