Fish Venkat Death: Unaware Sonu Sood Offers Help, Donates ₹1.5 Lakh to Family

Senior actor and comedian Fish Venkat passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025. Before his death, Fish Venkat was on dialysis while admitted to the ICU. His family was seeking financial help for his kidney transplant, for which they needed about Rs 50 lakh. But Fish Venkat died during the actor's treatment. Meanwhile, after the death of the late actor Fish Venkat, Sonu Sood has provided financial help to his family.

Let us tell you that Sonu Sood came forward to help the grieving family of Fish Venkat. He immediately transferred Rs 1.50 lakh to them as assistance and also spoke to Fish Venkat's wife and relatives over the phone.

According to Sonu Sood's team, they initially hoped that Fish Venkat was still in the hospital and would recover. However, they were "shocked" to know that the actor had already passed away. According to media reports, Sonu Sood also spoke to Fish Venkat's wife and other family members over the phone and assured them that he would help them if needed. Venkat's wife, who was very moved by this gesture, felt relieved as her husband always praised Sonu Sood.

Fish Venkat's Career

Fish Venkat was known for his comic and villainous roles in Telugu cinema. He had earned the nickname 'Fish' over the years due to his strong Telangana dialect. Over the years, he starred in several hit films such as Bunny, Adhurs, Dhee, and Mirapaake. He was recently seen in the aha thriller Coffee with a Killer, which was his last film before his unfortunate death. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he starred in Maa Vintha Gadha Vinuma and DJ Tillu alongside Sidhu Jonnalagadda, and his performance was also highly praised.

The family of the late actor did not get any help from Prabhas

Earlier, there were reports that actor Prabhas had offered Rs 50 lakh for Venkat's kidney transplant. Later, the family clarified that they never received the amount. According to The Free Press Journal, a family member said, "An unknown person called us claiming to be Prabhas Anna's assistant. Later, we came to know that it was a fake call. They were not even aware that something like this was happening. We have not received any financial help yet." Before Fish Venkat's death, actors like Vishwak Sen and Pawan Kalyan had also come forward to help. Pawan reportedly donated some amount after hearing about Venkat's condition.
