Let us tell you that Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) President BN Tiwari assured that no major accident has happened. Giving an update on the situation, he said, "There have been no major injuries. Anything could have happened, but thankfully no one was hurt badly." "The shooting has been stopped at the place where it was going on. Due to lack of maintenance, the roof of the studio collapsed and anything can happen there. Therefore, this step was taken for safety reasons."

Along with this, the President of FWICE further said, "We have written a letter to the Prime Minister in Delhi and the Chief Minister of Maharashtra regarding the health and safety of the people working in the industry. We have also written to the Film City that the foundation is so old that it can collapse anytime. Therefore, a structural audit needs to be done. There is no exit for fire safety in case of an accident. The entire film industry is running on God's support, but for how long will God also watch?"

Accidents often happen on the set

On the other hand, president BN Tiwari said that such incidents happen often but are rarely reported. “They are suppressed by giving compensation. Many things are not even asked to us, due to fear of losing work. He said that the responsibility of maintaining the studio lies with the art director and the studio owner. “They just build studios and keep taking bookings without maintenance. If the government does not take action, then film shooting will move out of Mumbai”.
