After Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by an unknown intruder at his Bandra home on Thursday morning, the actor's wife Kareena Kapoor informed their elder son Ibrahim Ali Khan. Ibrahim, the 23-year-old son of Saif and his first wife Amrita Singh, quickly rushed to his father's house and took him to the hospital. However, he first had to find an autorickshaw as there was no one to take Saif to the hospital.

Mumbai Police says Ibrahim and a member of Saif's staff rushed the actor to Lilavati Hospital around 3.30 am. Police say there was no driver at home at the time, so he was brought in an autorickshaw. Saif was admitted to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent multiple surgeries. Neeraj Utmani, COO of the hospital, said the actor had six wounds, two of which were deep.
Attack on saif ali khan
An unknown person broke into Saif and Kareena Kapoor's Bandra (West) house at around 2.30 am on Thursday. The actor came to know about the situation after an altercation broke out between the intruder and his domestic help. News agency ANI quoted a Mumbai Police source as saying, "When the actor tried to intervene and calm the man down, he attacked Saif Ali Khan and injured him. Police are investigating the matter." Apart from Saif and Kareena, their two sons - Taimur and Jeh - were also in the house at the time of the attack.
Saif Ali Khan is out of danger
Shortly after noon on Thursday, Saif's team released a statement: "Saif Ali Khan has come out of surgery and is out of danger. He is currently recovering and doctors are monitoring his progress. All family members are safe and the police are investigating the incident." Dr. Uttamani said that the actor has been shifted to the ICU after the surgery. The actor will remain under observation in the ICU for a day.
