It was a historic day (June 28th, 2024) with both musically and literary divine aura  when Padma Vibhushan supreme versatile singer Asha Bhosle was honored at the Grand Launch of her comprehensive book ‘ Svarswamini Asha’

The landmark Deenanath Mangeshkar Auditorium in Vile Parle (East) in Mumbai witnessed a star-studded galaxy-gathering of the who’s who of the music and film industry for the grand launch of the book 'Svarswamini Asha’  a tribute to the legendary singer Padma Vibhushan Asha Bhosle. The event, graced by the esteemed presence of melody Asha Bhosle herself and her charming granddaughter singer-actress Zanai Bhosle, was inaugurated and the book released by revered leader Shri Mohan Bhagwat-jee ( Chief of RSS). The book ( published by Valuable Group) apparently has 90 tribute articles contributed by 90 eminent writers which is complemented by rare pictures-images capturing the 'ageless' exuberance and phenomenal versatile vocal talents of  iconic singer-performer Asha Bhosle

The premium book 'Svarswamini Asha’  launch event is a celebration of  Guinness Book World Records Holder Asha Bhosle's phenomenal contribution to Indian music, film music, and performing arts capturing her creative journey and glorious achievements. Eminent luminaries and personalities from the showbiz industry including Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Bharati Mangeshkar, Sonu Nigam, Ashok Saraf, Jackie Shroff, Poonam Dhillon, Suresh Wadkar, Sudesh Bhosle, Harish Bhimani, music-centric biographer-author Vishwas Nerurkar and of course popular MLA and BJP Leader Ashish Shelar were among those who attended the event-by-invitation to honor melody-queen Asha Bhosle. Interestingly the event did not have a traditional folding curtain-opening-closing on stage. . That's because Asha-Taai ( Didi) is known for her open-candid nature and courageous views and comments. Madame Bhosle’s inspiring speech was marked by sparks of witty humour and even perfect mimicry, which she excels at, “Always keep the flame-torch of talent, passion-dedication within each one of us burning bright—never let it extinguish,” advised Asha-Taai, especially for today’s youth, which met with a thundering ovation.


Revered Shri Mohan Bhagwat-jee ( Chief of RSS)  in his address, lauded Asha Bhosle’s immense contribution to Indian music and culture, highlighting her versatility and dedication that have inspired multiple generations. “Popular songs which touch the nation’s heart, belong to everyone. Keep singing, never stop,” asserted Mohan Bhagwat-Sir amidst loud applause.

In response, Asha Bhosle expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming love and support, sharing anecdotes from her illustrious career and her excitement about the book.

Star-rock-star singer Sonu Nigam addressed Asha Bhosle as his Guru, sharing that he laid his foundation in music under her precious guidance during the yesteryear era when there was no techno-digital-cyber-you-tubes support.  In a touching sentimental gesture, Sonu washed Asha-Taai's feet with rose petals and rose water to convey his spiritual reverence-respect and also rested his head on her feet to get her blessings.. “ For me, it was worshipping the human avataar of Maa Saraswati-Devi,” Sonu Nigam later messaged me

Environment crusader senior star-actor Jackie Shroff gifted Asha Taai a green-potted plant as a symbol of making the earth green again.

The 'Svarswamini Asha’  event concluded with a spectrum of musical tributes to Asha Bhosle, featuring performances by renowned artists, creating an evening of sentimental nostalgia and celebration.
