Dilip Joshi spoke on being cast as Jethalal
Let us tell you that Dilip Joshi in a special Instagram live session on Instagram recalled the moment when he was cast as Jethalal. He said, "I wanted to meet you all today. Exactly 16 years ago, in 2008, our first episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah aired. I still remember the day when Asit Bhai called me to his office for the role of Jethalal. And after that conversation, we started shooting and today, we have completed 16 years. I can't believe that even today we are getting the same love for the show".

Along with this, Dilip Joshi expressed his gratitude to Asit Modi for "giving" him the role of Jethalal. Which gave him the opportunity to showcase his talent and entertain the audience in the last 16 years. He thanked the team of the show and the loyal audience for their constant support. Dilip Joshi shared that he is currently in the US. He said, "I hope the team will be missing me there because I am missing them a lot here. I want to thank all of them, we have traveled this 16-year-long journey together and entertained the audience. All those artists who are no longer with us, I am missing them all in this celebration. I hope they are all well".

Dilip Joshi also shared his plan to celebrate the anniversary by watching the first episode of the show. He said, "I feel like watching the first episode of the show. So, once I am done with this live session, I will sit and watch the first episode of the show and relive all the memories I have made on the show. That first day of our shoot was unbelievable".
These stars have left the show
In the last few years, actors like Disha Vakani, Shailesh Lodha, Neha Mehta, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, and Monica Bhadauria have left the show. On one hand, Jennifer had accused the makers of sexual harassment. On the other hand, Shailesh had also made several allegations against Asit Modi regarding money. Recently, 'Goli' aka Kush Shah has said goodbye to the show.
