Kamal Haasan breaks his silence on playing a villain in Kalki 2898 AD!

The release of Nag Ashwin's upcoming film Kalki 2898 AD is being discussed everywhere. Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan will also be seen in the film along with Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone. Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan spoke openly about playing the role of villain Kali in Kalki 2898 AD at a press conference held in Mumbai. Let us tell you that the film Kalki 2898 AD is all set to release in theaters on 27 June 2024.

Kamal Haasan on playing the villain Kaali in Kalki 2898 AD said, "I was telling Amit ji backstage that I always wanted to play a villain. The bad guy gets to do all the good things in films. When the hero is singing romantic songs and waiting for the heroine, I think I am going to play the bad guy, so it is going to be fun. Nag Ashwin wanted it to be different, so I am almost like a sage with an evil idea."

Talking about his first reaction to the script, Kamal Haasan said, "I am used to ordinary-looking people who do extraordinary things. My boss, my guru (Tamil director K. Balachander) was one such person and he looked like a government official. When he enters the house, you feel there has been an income tax raid. But I have seen what he is capable of doing, what kind of films he has done. So I don't underestimate these ordinary-looking people. There is a depth in them that is not seen until you talk to them and I had the opportunity to talk to him (Nag Ashwin). He is a man of few words.

Praising Nag Ashwin, the actor said, "This man knew how to present an idea that, as Amit ji said, makes you ask 'have you been smoking or drinking'. That's how great ideas are made. Common people will doubt it and then start respecting it. I could see that a little bit."
