He opened up about the challenges he faced and how he had to struggle to move forward in an industry where help is not easily available. The actor shared, "I am a lone warrior. This house that you are seeing today- I bought it with my own money. I have struggled like crazy to reach here. And it is not over yet. I am sure that I will not get any industry support for the road ahead. And I have accepted the fact that despite giving a big hit in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, no one will support me. I still have to work hard for my next film."

Kartik Aaryan's upcoming film is a romantic thriller with Anurag Basu, which also stars Tripti Dimri alongside him. He will be working with Karan Johar for the first time for a war drama directed by Sandeep Modi. Previously, he was seen in the Hindi language comedy-horror film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, directed by Anees Bazmee and written by Akash Kaushik. Produced by T-Series Films and Cine1 Studios, the horror comedy also stars Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit and Tripti Dimri in lead roles. The third installment of the franchise received a positive response from the audience. The film collected over Rs 421 crore globally.
