As a special tribute, IFFI will unveil a unique My Stamp dedicated to four great personalities Raj Kapoor, Tapan Sinha, Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR), and Mohammed Rafi, symbolizing their invaluable contribution to Indian culture and cinema, Sharmila had arrived for this ceremony.

About the song 

"Mere Sapno Ki Rani Kab Aayegi Tu" is an iconic song from the 1969 film "Aradhana", sung by Kishore Kumar and composed by S.D. Burman. The lyrics were penned by Anand Bakshi, which present a wonderful amalgamation of simplicity and romance. The song was shot in the beautiful valleys of Darjeeling, where Rajesh Khanna is seen chasing Sharmila Tagore in a jeep. The scene of Darjeeling's toy train in the song makes it even more special. This song became an evergreen classic with Kishore Kumar's voice, Burman's music, and Rajesh Khanna's performance. Even today, this song is considered the hallmark of romantic songs in Indian cinema.

Sharmila Tagore was last seen in Rahul V Chittela's family drama Gulmohar last year. She will next be seen in Suman Ghosh's Puratan, which will mark her return to Bengali cinema after 15 years since Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury's Antaheen (2009). The film premiered at the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival last month.
