Releasing a statement, Misha's family wrote, "My younger sister had built her world around Instagram and her followers, with the sole goal of reaching 1 million followers and getting loving fans. When her followers started decreasing, she became distraught and started feeling worthless. Since April, she had started being very depressed, often hugging me and crying, saying, 'Brother-in-law, what will I do if my followers decrease? My career will end. I tried to console her, explaining that this is not her whole world, it is just a side job, and if it doesn't work out, it is not the end. I reminded her of her talent, her LLB degree, and PCSJ preparation, telling her that she will become a judge one day and she does not need to worry about her career.

Misha Aggarwal's brother-in-law gave this advice

Along with this, Misha Agarwal's brother-in-law further wrote in the post, "I advised her to see Instagram only as entertainment and not let it dominate her. I told her to focus on her happiness and overcome anxiety and depression. Unfortunately, my younger sister did not listen to me and got so immersed in Instagram and followers that she left our world forever. Unfortunately, she became so desperate that she took her own life, which destroyed our family".
